Core D Clinical Sciences
Clinical Sciences Core D is led by Directors Jeffrey Jacobson of CWRU and Sharon Riddler of Pitt.
The goal of Core D is to provide clinical information and biologic samples from PWH and uninfected individuals for CFAR investigators; coordinate acquisition of fresh biologic samples from PWH and uninfected individuals for CFAR investigators; and to provide clinical support to CFAR investigators for the design, implementation, and analysis of clinical and translational studies focusing on HIV care and prevention. Guidance for study design, statistical considerations, data management, and regulatory submissions will be available along with linkages to collaborators, study populations, CFAR Cores, Institutional resources, and clinical trial networks.
Below is a list of Core Services suported by Core D:
- Access to existing clinical information and biologic samples from PWH and uninfected individuals in local CFAR repositories
- Acquisition and processing of fresh biologic samples from PWH and uninfected individuals
- Blood, leukapheresis
- Rectal and genital fluids and tissues
- Other
- Clinical Research Consultation
- Study design, data collection, recruitment, regulatory, community engagement
